Congratulations on the launching of your blog site! I appreciate your keen observations of nature and creatures great and small like the turtle (I think they can grow big too, right?) And from that neat experience in Mexico, you started your journey and unleashed your passion for writing and on the same note use the power of words to heal and upbuild, to tap into our inner self and emotions- especially that of the complexities of human relationships. Thank you.

On: Friendship

On the subject of friendship and how you offered it to someone who for reasons we never know and fully comprehend didn’t show appreciation in return, the Great Loss is in his part. He missed out on what could be a beautiful friendship with someone who showed him compassion, empathy and kindness. Also
I liked that you said ” you have gained the most ” from that experience because in the end, that one sided relationship taught you and us, readers that it doesn’t take much to show the same sterling qualities you showed him even if it’s not reciprocated but also learned it’s okay to say no and end that friendship gracefully.

On: Self-love

Great food for thoughts on this piece of work on “Loving Your Neighbor As Yourself ” based on Luke 10:27, very timely in today’s world where the environment in which we live in is volatile and less conducive to expressing love to one’s neighbor.

And so, the big question is: Is it wrong to love ourselves? I totally agree with your thoughts. NO, it’s Normal and even Necessary to have a healthy love of ourselves. God designed us this way that Jesus said: love your neighbor as yourself. Love begins within us, if we don’t love ourselves, we cannot love others. A proper and healthy kind of self-love is desirable to cultivate in us, as even the apostle Paul counsels husbands to love their wives as their own bodies.

Faith in God’s power

At times, we may wonder; I am not capable of loving others, perhaps because of our background or the environment we were raised up or may even doubt if God even loves us. But this doubt can be dangerous, it can rob us of joys in life. So even if our imperfect hearts may condemn us, making us feel worthless and unlovable, we can have faith in the power of God’s love because He is greater than our hearts.

On: Sweet Fragments & Snippets from readers around the world!

Enjoying and smiling while reading your posts. Especially seeing reactions from strangers from around the world. Amazing this modern technology, a comfort to know we share common humanity. My wish is to read more thoughts and reactions.

Since I first visited your Turtle(s)Pace, I have gradually witnessed how consistent you are in publishing articles on a regular interval. Bear me as I do not have enough time to comment on each of the post. Just be assured me and hubby here are keeping tab. Cheers to Moore!

On: Turtle(s)Pace

Finally, I have been able to find my way around your site. Was difficult navigating around it in the beginning. I find your site a little bit something to get used to.

Beatriz is my cousin, and we enjoy reading your articles. More so about Canada. Your satires are so funny!

In some days, I can maybe find the time to write you more in length. Me think that sitting down and writing is being a luxury in today’s world. Isn’t it? What you are doing is very brave.

On: Gardening

Your post gives all the sensory experiences of gardening – the colors and smell of your flowers, the texture of the soil that you prepare, the sound of the insects and animals that feast on your seeds. I fully appreciated why you enjoy all the activities and emotions related to planting:  from your excitement to your frustrations all the way to the joy and exhilaration of seeing and sharing the fruits of your labor.

I agree with you that gardening is beneficial for both the body and the mind. The daily routine of watering the plants, taking out the weeds and dead leaves, tilling and fertilizing the soil are not only good forms of exercise, but also relaxing to the mind. And free vitamin from sunshine is so life giving.

Gardening as source of joy

I remember when we had two drift woods planted with dendrobiums. When all the orchids bloom with white flowers, our little garden looked ready for a wedding reception. Our neighbors and passersby would always admire our white orchids.

I also recall when I was confined at home due to a fractured ankle. Our garden was a source of consolation. I spent the mornings on our patio overlooking our garden. We had a row of snake plants. I was always awed by the sprouting of new shoots from the ground. The slow growth into a full-grown leaf with variegation taught me to patiently wait for my own healing.

During the pandemic, gardening was also a life saver for me and my husband. He grew herbs in pots. They gave me so much joy in having fresh herbs in our dishes.

Colors all year round

Then we also had a collection of coleuses. Who needs flowers that come in season when I can have colorful leaves all year round? We shared cuttings with anyone who admired our plants so they too can experience the same joy we had.

Gardening shows me the wonderful cycle of life. The whole process of life begetting life is in itself life giving.

Thank you for sharing the comments of your readers. I enjoyed reading all of them. I felt like I was in a gathering of strangers who shared many things in common. Even if we do not know each other, your blog gave us a forum in which to listen to each other’s thoughts. I felt like I travelled the world and shook hands with your readers when I read their reactions to my comments. Your blog has widened my sphere even if I am just in my home country. Sharing with your community of readers keeps me socially engaged in a safe space.  How amazing is that for a retiree!

On: Satires

Howdies from Lyon! Your Satires about Canadian politics are breaths of refreshing air! Looking ahead to read more about Canada.

Also, sharing your trips to Mexico reads so enticing. Putting it in our bucket list too!

Again, nice “meeting” you in Turtle(s)Pace! More to come.

On: Sweet Fragments & Snippets from readers around the world

My thanks for seeing my comments in print! Kinda strange reading my own thoughts in Turtle(s)Pace. Stranger knowing anyone in any part of the world reading it too!

I have more to share on your post about truth setting us free. Kind of relatable. I have in mind about that, actually. I think your writings are mostly based on factual people.

Bring it on, Turtle!

By golly! Is that me there? Ha ha!

But cheers! Is this a presage that I am a regular now? I enjoy reading, and re-reading, your past articles. The style is witty, and humble.

I also love that you are picking some bits and pieces from living people. Bet you there is more coming.

And, hey, write more on Canada. Kudos to Turtle(s)Pace!

On: A Reader’s Perspective: Sofia from Mexico!

I feel so proud seeing Sofia narrating in vivid picture our Mexican culture. A little contribution to spreading news that not all about Mexico are drugs and guns! We are still a beautiful country. Will always be. People as friendly as ever.

And thank you for your funny stories on your prime minister. I love Canada. I have some family there. The past years I had been there in 2015, very beautiful country. Canadians are so nice people.

Thank you turtle(s)pace!

On: Satires of Life

Ha ha! You got me there! I said to myself, who is this guy talking to the pm? Almost fell from my seat upon realizing what you mean by satire. Smart move. I love it. More of it is very welcome. Any insight about life in B.C.?

On: Warning: Canada is choking the Americans! I called Trudeau.

This is the saddest moment of Canada, wildfires! Looking around the news, seems to be all of Canada is on fire. Makes me wonder, how did we get here? Really a deep concern. But, hey, life moves on. Keep writing, my friend.

On: A Painful Toothache & A Dentist: My Anni Horribiles

The proverbial hitting the nail of its head is an understatement here. Your experience hits some nerve in me. I have had similar one not long ago. Believe me, toothache pain is on a different level. You are correct there, we don’t have any care in the world when we are nursing toothache pains!

An aside, we know something has to be done with Canada’s healthcare system. Everywhere, every province is straining and stretching resources. Wait times in ERs get longer and more frustrating. A shame where we are now.
